Many people in North Georgia listened to our late pastor each Lord’s Day morning on WGGA in Gainesville (7:30-8:00AM). The program was called: The Expositor’s Broadcast. We have a burning passion to continue that tradition of solid exposition of the Scriptures burned into our hearts by the Spirit empowered preaching of our former pastor.
Not only was his preaching broadcast on WGGA, it was broadcast in other places such as Jefferson, Mountain City, and Dahlonega.
During his many years of preaching, he pastored several churches in this area, including: Belmont (1944-1949), Walnut Fork (on two occasions), Friendship, Bethabara, Pleasant Hill, etc. He also taught Bible Studies in various locations every night of the week. For example: Ruby’s Beauty Salon—Dahlonega, Edith Campbell’s house in Forsyth county, as well as various places such as Murrayville, Lula, Cumming, Knuckesville, Flowery Branch, Wahoo, Enon, etc.
We are currently working on a brief biographical sketch, which will be posted as soon as it complete. If you have factual information concerning the places Sam pastored, the dates associated with those pastorates, or any other pertinent information, please contact us. You may e-mail that info or contact us via phone (404-536-7175).
It is our desire to gradually make available some of his sermons in audio format. Here is a sample. It is one of his last evening devotions broadcast on WGGA and is entitled: OUR DISCOVERY OF THE NEWNESS OF GOD. The Newness of God
